The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking candidates for an open-area, full-time faculty position. This position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, and applications are welcome from individuals in all areas related to chemical and biomolecular engineering. Faculty members in this department are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, initiate and sustain a vigorous research program, and provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, applied math, biotechnology, chemical technology, or a related field, and should have a distinguished academic record. For those applying for the associate or full professor ranks, demonstrated evidence of leadership in the field at the national and international levels is required. The target starting date for this position is August 16, 2025, but it is flexible based on the candidate's needs. The budgeted salary range for the position varies by rank: $115,000 to $130,000 for Assistant Professors, $130,000 to $150,000 for Associate Professors, and $150,000 to $200,000 for Full Professors, all based on a 9-month service basis.
