The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a dedicated Lab-Based Research Scientist to join the Department of Medicine-Hematology/Oncology, specifically within the Hematologic Malignancies and Cell Therapy Program. This faculty position is aimed at individuals committed to a laboratory-based research career, focusing on hematologic malignancies, stem cell biology, cancer immunology, and cellular therapy. Candidates must possess either an MD or a PhD, with physician candidates required to be board-eligible or board-certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. The rank of the appointment, whether as an Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, will be determined based on the candidate's experience and track record. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a robust laboratory program that contributes to the understanding and treatment of hematologic malignancies. While the primary focus will be on research, physician candidates may also have limited patient care responsibilities related to their research area. The position offers access to the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, providing core resources and opportunities for collaboration in both laboratory and translational science.
