About the position
Florida Polytechnic University is seeking applications for tenure-equivalent faculty positions in Electrical Engineering at various ranks (instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor). The positions are set to begin in January 2025 or August 2025, focusing on high-quality teaching, research engagement, and active participation in the university community.
Responsibilities
- Developing and teaching high quality undergraduate and graduate courses
- Engaging in research
- Participating in curriculum development and assessment
- Recruiting, advising, and mentoring students
- Conducting research (for all professor ranks)
- Performing service activities at the department and university levels
- Being an active and visible member of the university community
Requirements
- Evidence of effective university-level teaching
- For the rank of Instructor: Master's degree from an accredited institution and 18 credit hours in the discipline
- For the rank of Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field earned before the start date
- For the rank of Associate Professor: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field earned before the start date and currently hold rank of Associate Professor or eligible to apply for Associate Professor at current institution
- For the rank of Full Professor: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field earned before the start date and 6 years of experience at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent

- Record of scholarship commensurate with experience in the profession
