About the position

The Fall 2024 Asset Protection & Safety/Retail Operations Intern position at Kroger offers current college students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. This 15-week immersive internship program is designed to help students apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios while working closely with industry leaders and gaining exposure to various aspects of retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Apply theoretical concepts acquired in the classroom to retail operations line of business
• Interact with all business sections of the Retail Operations department and other corporate groups
• Assist the Retail Operations team with daily tasks and gain understanding of the responsibilities and retail business
• Assist with the maintenance and improvement of business reporting functions
• Support the teams' projects
• Participate in weekly department meetings
• Travel to off-site locations as required
• Complete specific internship assignments, as requested
• Complete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and present to leadership team or appropriate managers

Requirements

• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university
• Preferred GPA of 3.2
• Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work
• Ability to respond to changing business priorities
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
• Accuracy and attention to detail
