About the position

The Family and Community Partnership Manager at AWARE, Inc. is responsible for ensuring compliance with childcare licensure and Head Start Performance Standards while overseeing family services to promote positive outcomes for families. This role involves direct supervision of Family Advocates, program attendance compliance, and collaboration with the Education Manager to facilitate transition services. The manager will also provide training and support to staff, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to families in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with rules, regulations, and guidelines involving childcare licensure and Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Ensures the Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework is integrated into programming and management systems.
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of family services to ensure high-quality services and positive family outcomes.
  • Monitors program attendance compliance.
  • Supports recruitment, enrollment, and registration of families into the program.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities including screening applicants and participating in hiring processes.
  • Directly supervises and evaluates Family Advocates, establishing performance goals and conducting regular staff meetings.
  • Updates and implements service plans and procedures relating to family services, including ERSEA.
  • Communicates new or revised policies and procedures to team members.
  • Observes family service staff during intake and parent meetings to provide guidance.
  • Collaborates with the Education Manager to ensure timely transition services.
  • Identifies and facilitates training for family service staff as needed.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports related to family outcomes and service delivery.
  • Facilitates team operations through information sharing and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Three years of employment in a leadership position with knowledge of program planning and implementation practices.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Early Childhood education and Family Systems, including human growth and development principles.
  • Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.
