Responsibilities

  • Identify insufficient protective capacities and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain contact with parents and children to achieve treatment goals.
  • Assess child safety and take necessary actions to protect the child.
  • Interact objectively with caretakers who have abused or neglected children.
  • Discuss personal issues with families related to income, money management, and relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Experience in child welfare or social services is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in high-stress situations and make quick decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in social work may qualify for an increase at the point of hire.
