Family Centered Treatment Specialist/Therapist (location Kansas)

About the position

Join Saint Francis Ministries and become a certified Family Centered Treatment® Specialist or Therapist, providing intensive prevention services to families in their home. FCT keeps families together by helping them develop the solutions and skills they need to reduce risks in everyday situations. You could be instrumental in helping families heal, develop new skills, and maintain wholeness. New hires will complete a self-guided online training course and make consistent progress towards achieving FCT Certification from the FCT Foundation through videotaped demonstration of competencies. Acquire new skills and certifications to launch you on a fulfilling career while supporting healthy families. Plus, you can work from home when not in session with your assigned families - while carrying a caseload of no more than 5 families. Responsibilities

• Assigned caseloads are limited to 5 families, spending an average of 4 hours per week with a minimum of 2 weekly contacts.
• Enroll in Wheels of Change and complete FCT certification within 1 year of start date.
• Attend and participate in weekly team supervision meetings where cases are reviewed, and feedback is provided.
• Complete and maintain all program fidelity documents, reports, and assessments in a timely manner reflecting the FCT language.
• Provide intervention to families in crisis situations.
• Provide FCT in-home family treatment, adhering to and ensuring fidelity to the FCT model.
• Prioritize cases for multiple clients.
• Serve as liaison with DCF, courts, schools, other providers, and community.
• Complete reports for court and attend when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in social or Family Services, e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Sociology.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance Check, an Adult Registry check, and a FBI Fingerprint check.
• Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
