About the position

The Family Housing Program Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of various housing programs aimed at supporting young adults and families in achieving stable housing and improving their overall quality of life. This role involves overseeing program quality, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering effective partnerships with participants. The manager will also lead a team, develop program guidelines, and manage budgets while promoting a culture of equity and social justice within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership of assigned Family Housing programs, ensuring quality assurance.
  • Coordinate quarterly review meetings with participants and implement exit planning.
  • Regularly review case notes and follow up with staff to ensure high-quality support for participants.
  • Shadow home visits with staff to provide feedback for continuous development.
  • Develop procedures and program guidelines in consultation with the Family Housing Programs Director.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff, conducting performance evaluations and team-building activities.
  • Manage program budgets and monitor expenditures, including corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of participant records and maintain databases.
  • Represent SHS positively through public relations and networking, developing relationships with partners.
  • Commit to racial equity and social justice, participating in relevant training and workshops.

Requirements

  • Four years of work experience in a social service position.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health issues, chemical health issues, and homelessness.
  • Ability to produce professional quality letters and reports.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Support Housing and Rapid Rehousing.
  • Two or more years in administration, management, and supervision.
