About the position

The Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant position is designed for an individual with 2-5+ years of family law experience to support a team of compassionate attorneys. The role involves managing client intakes, docketing deadlines, e-filing with local courts, and preparing trial materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities while providing essential support to the legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new client intakes and docketing deadlines.
  • Perform e-filing with local courts.
  • Prepare trial materials and manage discovery processes.
  • Proofread correspondence, memos, and pleadings.
  • Bill for time without pressure of set expectations.
  • Assist attorneys with case management and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of family law experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Experience with e-filing and full case management required.
  • Familiarity with case management software required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Paralegal certificate preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hybrid Legal Assistant/Paralegal role.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage shifting priorities.
