About the position

Tampa Bay Area law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a minimum of one year of experience in the field. This position requires familiarity with family law discovery rules, as well as proficiency in drafting motions and e-filing documents. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential, as the paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents and communicating with clients and court personnel. The role is full-time, with a standard 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and is based in our Palm Harbor, FL office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $25, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to family law cases.
• Draft motions and pleadings for court filings.
• Manage case files and maintain organized records.
• Conduct legal research as needed to support case preparation.
• E-file documents with the court and ensure compliance with filing rules.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
• Prepare discovery documents and assist in the discovery process.
• Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in family law (preferred).
• Familiarity with family law discovery rules.
• Proficiency in drafting legal motions and pleadings.
• Experience with e-filing in court systems.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
