About the position

The Law Office of Kelly A. Seabrook, L.L.C. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team in downtown Columbia, SC. This full-time position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal environment, particularly in family law. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while also being a team player. Strong communication skills and a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential for success in this role. The paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the legal team and enhance the client experience. In this role, the Family Law Paralegal will draft correspondence, prepare pleadings for filing, and draft certificates of service/mailing. Maintaining client files and assisting in billing are also key responsibilities. The paralegal will assist in conducting discovery, calendaring due dates and court dates, and performing other office tasks as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain professional business relationships with co-workers and clientele, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to multi-task effectively. Candidates should be outgoing, positive, energetic, and flexible, with a strong commitment to professionalism. Professional attire suitable for a law firm is required, and candidates will be asked to submit a writing sample as part of the application process.
