About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic team at the Law Office of Samuel Reyes PLLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our attorneys in a fast-paced family law practice, providing both administrative and legal support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. As a Family Law Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in researching legal precedents and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring that all necessary documents are readily available. Additionally, you will conduct various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and making phone calls to clients and vendors. Utilizing legal software, including iManage, you will track and manage case files and document production, collaborating with attorneys to prepare for court hearings and mediations. Your role will also involve assisting with estate planning and other legal administrative tasks as needed. Providing exceptional phone etiquette and ensuring all client communications are handled professionally will be crucial. You will proofread and edit legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and clarity, and perform other administrative and legal tasks as required by the firm. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Experience in a family law setting or similar legal environment
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with iManage and other legal software
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with estate planning and other related legal administrative tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
