Triangle Smart Divorce is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal who is detail-oriented and possesses exceptional communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, orders, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer. You will communicate with clients and other parties to provide updates and gather necessary information, maintain client files, schedule case events such as hearings, and file pleadings with the court. Additionally, you will track and monitor court filings, communicate with family court as needed, interview witnesses, review financial documents, and prepare financial affidavits and spreadsheets. Your involvement will extend to trial preparation and all aspects of family law cases, making your role integral to the success of our clients' cases.

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, orders, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer.

Requirements

  • Must possess organizational skills and time-management skills.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Compassionate and understanding demeanor.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Must be a Certified Paralegal by the North Carolina State Bar.
