About the position

Shenandoah Community Health (SCH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our outpatient team in Winchester, VA. This position is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community, including primary care, behavioral health, women's health, and oral healthcare. Since our establishment in 1976, we have been committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to our patients, supported by a team of experienced providers and staff. The current team includes a family medicine physician, a pediatrician, a family nurse practitioner, a women's health nurse practitioner, a physician assistant, a part-time psychotherapist, and a psychiatrist, all working collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our patients. As a Family Medicine Physician at SCH, you will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of our community. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of health conditions, providing preventive care, and managing chronic diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. This position offers a Monday to Friday office schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while serving the community. In addition to providing direct patient care, there is an opportunity to serve as a clinical preceptor for medical students and residents, enhancing the educational experience of future healthcare providers. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Perform routine check-ups and preventive care.
  • Manage patient health records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Virginia medical license or be eligible for licensure in Virginia.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
