About the position
This position is for a Family Medicine physician in a locum tenens role, providing supplemental coverage in an outpatient facility located in Greenville, NC. The physician will be responsible for delivering clinical care to patients of all ages, focusing on health maintenance and the management of chronic and acute conditions. The role requires flexibility and the ability to handle a diverse patient demographic, with a typical schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct health maintenance and manage chronic and acute care.
- Perform procedures such as incision and drainage (I&D), joint injections, trigger point injections, and cryotherapy.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for patient documentation and management.
- Collaborate with a team of 26 physicians, 36 family medicine residents, and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Manage a patient load of 20-30 visits daily.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina medical license.
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (BC).
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
