About the position

Baptist Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join their healthcare team in West Point, MS. The role involves providing exceptional medical care to patients of all ages, addressing a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. The position offers both full-time and PRN opportunities, with a focus on delivering quality healthcare in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Deliver convenient, friendly patient care to all who seek health-related services.
  • Lead and assist during emergencies while maintaining a comforting presence for patients.
  • Perform medical assessments, treatments, management, and follow-ups for clinic patients.
  • Conduct medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, and abscess incision and drainage.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
  • Oversee and support on-site laboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct access services.
  • Maintain clinical core competency and ensure operations align with medical policy and professional standards.
  • Participate in the development and revision of policies affecting medical practice and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist with in-service and continuing education programs for medical staff.
  • Recommend growth and development opportunities for new and existing services within the Center.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of education programs for staff.
  • Represent the company and clinic at internal and external meetings or events.
  • Guide other medical staff to ensure quality services and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Provider is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
  • Certification as an APRN through the AANP or ANCC.
  • DEA license, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • BLS certification.
