About the position

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position at Terros Health is a part-time role focused on providing primary care and mental health services. The FNP will work 20 hours per week in an outpatient clinic setting, conducting physicals, medical evaluations, and treatment for various health issues. This role emphasizes patient education, preventative care, and collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physicals/check-ups and medical evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, order lab tests, and provide general and preventative care.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications, coordinating with other providers for specialty care referrals.
  • Educate patients about preventative care and wellness activities.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients to reach treatment goals.
  • Provide leadership and supervision within the clinic environment, including oversight of other medical staff and students.
  • Participate in program evaluation and maintain professional record keeping.
  • Provide direct patient services for at least 85% of work time.

Requirements

  • Valid Arizona Nurse Practitioner (NP) License
  • MSN or DNP in Family Medicine
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid DEA license
  • Ability to pass a background check and possess a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NextGen software
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili, or ASL
