About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business/Finance Manager for a Small Family Office in Houston, Texas. This role involves overseeing and developing a diverse business portfolio that includes real estate rental properties, a fishing charter company, a commercial hunting operation, oil and gas operations, and a private aviation company. The ideal candidate will have a solid finance background and business acumen, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently while managing various employees and vendors involved in the operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Oversee revenue management, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and IAS standards.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis to maintain financial health and sustainability.
  • Provide support in corporate finance activities, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze financial data to prepare reports on profit loss and fiscal management.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate offsite activities and operations to ensure compliance with Entities policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation for audits.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or higher.
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proven experience as a Manager/Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, revenue management, and cash flow analysis.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606, IAS, corporate finance principles, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
