About the position
This position is for Over-the-Road (OTR) drivers at a family-owned trucking company based in Joplin, MO. The company is looking to hire three drivers to operate new trucks and transport reefer freight. The role emphasizes a personal touch, ensuring that drivers are recognized as individuals rather than just numbers. The company offers competitive pay and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate new trucks (2022 or newer Peterbilt's and Freightliners) for OTR routes.
- Transport 100% no-touch reefer freight.
- Stay out for 2 weeks at a time on the road.
- Complete orientation and training, including having a private room for the duration.
- Review and manage deadhead loads, receiving 75cpm for these trips.
Requirements
- Must have at least 4 months of driving experience.
- Must not have been fired from the last job.
- No more than 3 speeding tickets in the last 2 years.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with reefer freight operations.
- Familiarity with OTR driving regulations.
