About the position

The Family Pastor at VIVE Culture Church is responsible for overseeing the spiritual formation of children and youth, from newborns to students, by implementing the church's vision and discipleship process. This role emphasizes building relationships, empowering disciple-makers, and collaborating with families to nurture the next generation. The Family Pastor will manage operations, recruit and equip leaders, and ensure effective programming that aligns with the church's values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the spiritual formation of VIVE Kids and VIVE Students.
  • Manage VIVE Kids' operations and recruit ministry partners.
  • Coordinate curriculum selection and implementation for various age groups.
  • Plan and oversee next-gen Sunday services and special events.
  • Lead training events for teachers and ministry partners.
  • Collaborate on projects and goals with Lead Pastors.
  • Champion every age group and embody the culture of VIVE.
  • Oversee the discipleship process in partnership with the Spiritual Formations Pastor.
  • Facilitate meetings with key leaders and develop future plans.
  • Foster relationships with parents and be present during events.
  • Create family events to engage the community.
  • Provide resources and experiences for parents in discipleship.
  • Leverage digital strategies to inspire and inform parents.
  • Develop and manage the budget for kids and youth ministry.
  • Strategically plan quarterly goals for continuous growth.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in ministry leadership with children and youth in a church of over 1000 in weekly attendance.
  • Deep understanding of the Bible and ability to explain it to kids.
  • Strong sense of calling and passion for the position.
  • Skills in classroom and behavioral management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, Canva, and website navigation.
  • Ability to plan, budget, delegate, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in recruiting qualified leaders and volunteers.
  • Well-organized, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a humble and teachable spirit, open to feedback and growth.
  • Mature and ongoing personal relationship with Jesus.
