We are seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal who has some probate experience to join our legal team at Palmer Law Group, P.C. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law and probate matters and possess strong organizational skills to support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, gain valuable experience in family law practice, and contribute to meaningful client outcomes. The role requires managing deadlines, court dates, and in-person meetings with clients and the firm to ensure the calendar is maintained. The paralegal will also be responsible for scheduling appointments and meetings at the request of the attorney, attending and assisting with meetings the firm is a part of, and communicating effectively with clients to maintain relationships and work efficiently. In addition, the paralegal will manage the legal phone lines for incoming calls from opposing counsels and clients, maintain contact lists for each case, and assist with resolving unexpected emergency situations involving clients. The role includes handling and processing communications with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and the opposing party, as well as managing assigned cases' recordings and processing them accordingly. The paralegal will also manage case notes and file documents as necessary, prepare legal documents, electronic filing, correspondences, pleadings, and coordinate with process servers under the management of the attorney. Furthermore, the paralegal will process and mail necessary court and case documents, manage a log of firm expenses per client case, and maintain an organized filing system for all legal documents. Conducting matter meetings with the legal team to ensure all cases are managed and up to date is also a key responsibility. The paralegal will assist attorneys in hearing and trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and motion filings.
