About the position

The Family Services Worker at Orange County Head Start, Inc. is responsible for implementing family partnerships and delivering quality social services to families. This role involves tracking families' progress, providing referrals to community agencies, and participating in case management and crisis intervention. The position emphasizes quality customer service to families and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement family partnerships with families.
• Deliver quality social services to families.
• Track families' progress and needs.
• Research and update community resources.
• Provide referrals to community agencies.
• Participate in center-level case management and crisis intervention.
• Provide quality customer service to internal customers and OCHS families.

Requirements

• Associate degree in human services, psychology, sociology, social work, or similar field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field is preferred.
• Minimum two years job related experience preferred.
• Experience working with computers and data entry.
• Detailed record keeping and excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of local community resources related to medical and/or dental care.
• Experience in child health services is desirable.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese required.
