About the position

The Family Support Provider (FSP) II/Wellness Coach at Counseling & Recovery Services, LLC is responsible for providing targeted support, advocacy, education, and behavioral support to families in need. This role focuses on assisting families with children who have emotional problems, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support systems. The position requires a strong commitment to trauma-informed care and the Sanctuary Model, aiming to improve the quality of life for clients through direct engagement and support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support, advocacy, education, and behavioral support to families.
  • Conduct non-diagnostic interviews with clients and their families to assess service needs.
  • Deliver direct/indirect advocacy, behavioral support, education, and case management services.
  • Coordinate and facilitate wraparound/family teams and maintain communication with clinical and administrative staff.
  • Complete initial care plans and update them as needed based on family needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate services provided to families and contact them to assess progress.
  • Provide transportation for clients and families to appointments when necessary.
  • Facilitate referral team meetings and ensure timely communication with families and referral sources.
  • Teach and implement community meetings and safety plans as part of the Sanctuary Model.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and manage crises involving clients.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Family Support Provider (FSP).
  • Experience in seeking and accessing state and community resources.
  • Current Oklahoma Operator's Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in mental health services or related fields.
  • Specialized training or certification in mental health services.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their actions.
