About the position
The Family Therapist position at National Youth Advocate Program involves providing Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to at-risk youth and their families in Hamilton County, Ohio. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health services, advocating for families, and supporting youth in overcoming behavioral challenges. The therapist will work as part of a team, engaging in community-based services and ensuring the safety and stability of the youth served.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Evidence-Based Mental Health Services to adolescents, youth, and families using the FFT model.
- Manage a small caseload and travel daily to provide services in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and modify treatment plans to ensure consistent progress and success of plan goals.
- Participate in training and consultation to obtain FFT certification.
- Comply with daily documentation and assessment requirements.
- Assist in family reunification and stabilization efforts consistent with the youth's case plan.
- Provide safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- LSW or LPC required (LISW or LPCC preferred).
- Experience in providing both individual and family therapy.
- Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
- Good computer and technology skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with TF-CBT preferred.
- Willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule during non-traditional hours.
