About the position

The Family Therapist position at National Youth Advocate Program involves providing Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to at-risk youth and their families in Hamilton County, Ohio. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based mental health services, advocating for families, and supporting youth in overcoming behavioral challenges. The therapist will work as part of a team, engaging in community-based services and ensuring the safety and stability of the youth served.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Evidence-Based Mental Health Services to adolescents, youth, and families using the FFT model.
  • Manage a small caseload and travel daily to provide services in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review and modify treatment plans to ensure consistent progress and success of plan goals.
  • Participate in training and consultation to obtain FFT certification.
  • Comply with daily documentation and assessment requirements.
  • Assist in family reunification and stabilization efforts consistent with the youth's case plan.
  • Provide safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • LSW or LPC required (LISW or LPCC preferred).
  • Experience in providing both individual and family therapy.
  • Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Good computer and technology skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TF-CBT preferred.
  • Willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule during non-traditional hours.
