The FANHP Program Coordinator at Fort Valley State University (FVSU) is a vital role responsible for the effective execution and success of the NEXTGen Grant activities. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that are essential for ensuring the program operates smoothly and meets its objectives. The Program Coordinator will coordinate various activities, maintain comprehensive records, manage administrative tasks, and provide support to both students and the Principal Investigator (PI). This role is subject to annual renewal based on performance and can be available for up to five years or less. In this position, the Coordinator will be tasked with organizing 4H/FAA activities and workshops, which includes scheduling events, securing venues, and coordinating with instructors or guest speakers. The Coordinator will also plan and manage general activities aimed at fostering community and engagement among students. A critical aspect of the role involves preparing detailed reports on program activities, outcomes, and financials, ensuring that all information is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for obtaining necessary approvals for all organized activities to ensure compliance with institutional policies and guidelines. The Coordinator will complete and process all necessary paperwork related to organized activities, including permissions, waivers, budget forms, and travel documents. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student participation, achievements, and progress is also a key responsibility. The Coordinator will promote scholarship opportunities effectively to ensure students are aware of and can take advantage of available financial support. Furthermore, the Coordinator will accompany students on international trips, managing travel logistics and ensuring their safety and well-being. Administrative support to the Principal Investigator will also be a part of the role, which includes scheduling, communications, and routine tasks, as well as assisting with various day-to-day activities to keep the program running smoothly and support strategic planning and development.
