About the position
Miller Farms and Feedlot is seeking a dependable full-time employee to join their team. The role involves various responsibilities related to row crop farming and cattle handling, primarily focusing on corn and soybean production. The position requires experience with modern farming equipment and practices, as well as a willingness to work in a dynamic agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of row crop farming from planting to harvest.
- Operate self-propelled sprayers and other farming equipment.
- Assist in fertilizing and planting crops.
- Participate in harvesting activities.
- Handle and feed cattle as part of the cow/calf operation.
- Maintain and operate center pivot irrigation systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in farming operations.
- Experience with self-propelled sprayers and modern farming equipment.
- Knowledge of fertilizing, planting, and harvesting processes.
- Experience with cattle feeding and handling is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a CDL or class A license.
