About the position
The Farm Clean Out Lead is responsible for supervising and leading the cleaning crew in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas. This role involves monitoring the cleaning process, managing parts and equipment, and ensuring the proper use of cleaning chemicals. The position requires collaboration with various team members and flexibility to work in different departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and monitor the cleaning of assigned areas.
- Maintain control of all parts, including gaskets and replacement of broken or missing parts.
- Assist in setting up the assigned department or other lines before production starts.
- Ensure the proper use of chemicals to clean and sanitize all machinery and areas assigned.
- Tear down machinery at the beginning of the cleanup shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, area leader, and Sanitation Manager.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Complete all tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
- Poultry experience preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of machinery teardown and setup.
- Basic chemical understanding is a strong plus.
- Experience in monitoring cleanup (parts).
- 2 years of clean out crew experience.
