About the position

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and tractor-trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
• Conduct brake repairs and vehicle maintenance to uphold safety standards.
• Align machinery components to manufacturer specifications for optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in working with industrial equipment, including familiarity with Caterpillar machinery.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Experience with brake repair and overall vehicle maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Knowledge of alignment techniques for various types of machinery.
• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks.
