About the position
The Farm Supervisor oversees and coordinates with the Farm Manager farming operations of row crop production (e.g., potatoes, wheat, corn, onions, beans, etc). He or she oversees workers as well as performs manual labor when necessary. This role is responsible for working closely with the Farm Manager in identifying and correcting problems to ensure that the farm runs as efficiently and profitably as possible. In summary, the Farm Supervisor directs the duties having to do with operating a crop farm, including supervising employees and production of various crops.
Responsibilities
- Makes day to day operational decisions in conjunction with the Farm Manager
- Provides weekly report and other regular communication to management
- Directs and coordinates worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, and grading
- Ensures proper maintenance of all farm buildings, equipment, and irrigation systems
- Coordinates growing activities with those of equipment maintenance, packing houses, and other related departments
- Create safe work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Several years managing acres and overseeing work crews
- Pivot Sprinkler Irrigation experience
- Large farm experience and/or bilingual a plus

- Agricultural degree a plus

- Salary range of $78k-88k annually DOE
