About the position
The Fast-Food Attendant at HMSHost is responsible for a variety of tasks within a fast food or snack bar environment. This role includes customer service duties such as taking orders, operating the cash register, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The position also involves assisting in kitchen operations and inventory management, ensuring compliance with food handling procedures, and providing a positive dining experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers and takes food orders, providing information about menus and upselling products.
- Operates cash register, receives payments, and provides change while adhering to cash handling policies.
- Cleans and stocks the work area to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying transaction accuracy, and operates related equipment.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
- Assists with various kitchen-related functions as needed.
- Receives inventory and manages food and beverage products, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed.
- Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and converse comfortably with customers.
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
