About the position

The Fast-Food Attendant at HMSHost is responsible for a variety of tasks within a fast food or snack bar environment, including customer service, cash handling, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory. This role is essential for ensuring a positive dining experience for customers and involves direct interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take food orders, providing information about menus and upselling products.
• Operate cash register, receive payments, and provide accurate change while following cash handling policies.
• Clean and stock work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Assist in locating, reconciling, and verifying transaction accuracy.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with various kitchen-related functions as needed.
• Receive inventory and manage food and beverage products, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents.
