About the position

The Store Manager at FastLane Convenience Store is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves managing inventory, training staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. The Store Manager also plays a critical role in emergency situations, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels and presentations in all departments.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular management meetings and audits.
• Maintain a store inspection grade of at least 85% on the store Image Evaluation.
• Adhere to all city, county, and state liquor regulations.
• Accurately post sales, invoices, markups, and markdowns within established guidelines.
• Prepare and deliver all bank deposits for the store daily.
• Train and develop store management and personnel in all aspects of the business.
• Project a positive image of the company and store at all times.
• Comparison shop and report results to make appropriate price adjustments.
• Analyze and measure business trends to maximize sales and meet goals.
• Control shrink, expenses, and payroll.
• Schedule all shift operating hours and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Prepare daily shift reports and enter information into the computer system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the retail, restaurant, grocery, or service industry.
• At least 2 years in management with responsibility for financial results in a high-volume retail environment with P&L accountability.
• Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
