About the position

The FAST Tech A&P position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation involves performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG (Aircraft on Ground) aircraft. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. The technician will be on-call and must be able to respond to service requests within two hours, providing support to customers and coordinating with various teams to ensure timely aircraft service and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform AOG maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  • Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to relay aircraft schedule and return to service expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, and other departments.
  • Identify and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
  • Order and receive tooling and materials needed for servicing AOG aircraft.
  • Coordinate with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Complete work order sign-offs, logbook entries, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with customers during road trips.
  • Operate and supervise the use of special support equipment for major component removal and installations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance, or servicing of large/mid-size aircraft, including 2 years AOG troubleshooting experience on Corporate aircraft.
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to obtain a Passport required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal training in Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, RS and QC Manual, and technical reference materials.
