About the position

The Fast Track to Sales and Financial Management program at New York Life is designed for individuals looking to develop their careers in management within the insurance and financial services industry. Participants will gain hands-on experience as agents, receive mentorship, and undergo training to become licensed to sell insurance products. The program includes multiple phases, leading to opportunities for advancement into management roles, where individuals will be responsible for recruiting and developing their own teams of agents.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience as an agent under mentorship.
  • Learn the agent career to mentor future agents.
  • Execute a business development plan with support from management.
  • Become licensed to sell life insurance and begin selling products.
  • Study for and attain Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 registrations.
  • Recruit and develop a team of agents as a manager.
  • Complete the Associate Partner Training Program to prepare for management roles.

Requirements

  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • 1 year of management experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of sales experience (preferred).
  • Associate's degree or equivalent education.
  • Life & Health Insurance License.
  • Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 registrations (to be obtained during the program).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
