The Faster Payments Technology Manager at City National Bank is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating resources to meet data processing and systems objectives, particularly focusing on Real Time Payments and FedNow Payments. This role involves overseeing the design, installation, ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and account management activities for various colleague groups. The manager will ensure that projects are completed within specified budgets and timelines while maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a strong emphasis on project management, as the manager will guide staff in providing maximum services in terms of quality and quantity. In this role, the manager will direct account management efforts to ensure that appropriate service levels are maintained in support of business objectives and profit goals. They will oversee the completion of all assigned systems efforts, ensuring that they meet established target dates and budgets while maintaining the quality of work performed. The manager will also be responsible for collecting system requirements and providing operationally efficient and cost-effective solutions to identified problems. The Faster Payments Technology Manager will implement project methodology guidelines and standards to ensure project success and will conduct special projects as requested by senior management. They will monitor projects for adherence to bank security and quality standards and present project status reports to senior management. Additionally, the manager will participate in the development of the Information Systems strategic direction and coordinate across business and technical teams to ensure that all bank projects align with strategic objectives. This role also involves vendor evaluations and recommendations to improve systems productivity and efficiency, as well as managing the department's budget and organizational functions.
