About the position

The Community Office Assistant Manager at FCBank plays a pivotal role in embodying the organization's core values and leading a team to achieve branch goals. The Assistant Manager will assist the Community Office Manager in maintaining operational standards, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing exceptional personalized service to clients. The role emphasizes the importance of collaboration with branch team members and business partners to enhance client acquisition and deepen wallet share. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Assistant Manager is expected to engage in professional development, both personally and for their team. This includes mentoring and coaching team members, conducting performance appraisals, and encouraging participation in elective courses and industry seminars. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for fostering a strong organizational culture, acting as a role model for the team and the community, and promoting team involvement in community events. The position also entails maintaining and supporting operational standards, overseeing branch operations, scheduling, conducting audits, and ensuring that all regulatory training is completed on time. The Assistant Manager will be the point of contact for client inquiries and complaints, ensuring that concerns are resolved promptly and effectively. Overall, this role is integral to the success of the branch and the satisfaction of its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Office Manager in developing banking relationships within the target market.
  • Engage staff by crafting measurable goals and action plans in line with the Bank's strategic plan.
  • Maintain and support operational standards including compliance, audits, and security.
  • Delegate appropriate responsibilities to team members to promote professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Community Office Manager to complete performance appraisals and coaching.
  • Participate in and encourage team involvement at community events.
  • Market the organization and deepen wallet share through client acquisition.
  • Respond to and handle inquiries and complaints, resolving client concerns promptly.
  • Oversee all branch operations including scheduling, audits, and security training.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and meet acceptable timelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; related experience and secondary education preferred.
  • Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Basic knowledge of telephone systems and good digital literacy including email and internet use.
  • Ability to learn core transaction systems and other relevant computer programs.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.
  • Common sense reasoning ability to carry out instructions and solve problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the banking industry or a related field.
