Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and conduct classes in assigned subjects.
• Utilize various teaching techniques to assist students with educational advancement.
• Supervise inmates assigned to the class and maintain order and discipline.
• Conduct roll calls, counts, and maintain attendance records.
• Evaluate students' overall progress and administer grades and tests.
• Counsel and advise individuals regarding their program progress and personal concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, seminars, and workshops for curriculum changes and professional development.
• Assist in budget preparation and processing purchase requests for the education program.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• Eligibility to apply for a State of Florida Educator's Certificate.
• Non-certified applicants must obtain a State of Florida Educator's Certificate within 12 months of hire.
