About the position

The FDS-IM Technical Project Manager at Leidos is responsible for leading the technical team in managing, developing, documenting, and executing the technical aspects of the Fuel Depot System-Inventory Monitoring project. This role serves as the central technical point of contact, ensuring that all project requirements are met and that the project remains on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and planning skills, with a focus on problem-solving and efficient resolution of technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the government point of contact for all technical issues.
  • Supervise applicable staff and assist with staffing requirements as needed.
  • Assist the team in reaching program goals and provide technical oversight related to solution development and business needs.
  • Adhere to program schedules, including task scheduling and reporting.
  • Conduct technical meetings and coordinate data gathering related to all technical aspects of the solution.
  • Obtain detailed customer requirements and business practices.
  • Work with the commercial development team in the Agile process to prioritize bug fixes and program changes.
  • Oversee the Quality Management Testing process and all phases of testing as identified in the PWS.
  • Create, review, and manage technical documentation and program testing requirements.
  • Support the Test Lead with required test plans and compliance testing.
  • Assist in evaluating technical risks and develop enterprise architecture models according to DODAF.
  • Identify commercial component incompatibilities and recommend solutions for technology upgrades.
  • Provide recommendations on hardware, interfaces, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with five plus (5+) years of prior relevant experience, or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Government IT Public Trust IT2 security clearance.
  • Current or ability to obtain an active DOD 8570-01 IAM II Level Certification.
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 10%.
  • Hands-on administrative and technical experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and database management systems.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and expertise with databases (SQL, Cassandra, etc.).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple high-priority items in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT networking architecture related to Client Server configurations.

  • Ten (10+) years of hands-on Project Management experience leading a technical team.
  • Experience working directly with development teams to ensure requirements are maintained.
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with product development lifecycle.
