About the position
Hammons and Long Inc, a FedEx Ground contractor, is urgently hiring full-time delivery drivers. The role involves operating delivery vans to ensure timely and safe delivery of packages while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will prioritize safety and efficiency in their work, making deliveries in the Portland area from the FedEx terminal.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at Portland FedEx terminal to pick up vehicle and packages
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
- Load and unload packages from the truck
- Deliver packages to the correct destination
- Accurately scan and log packages
Requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- 1 year of job-related driving experience (Professional Delivery Driver experience with a sliding van or box truck/Construction, Landscaping/Medical Transport, etc.)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Physically able to handle up to 150lbs (with assistance of a dolly)
- Willingness to submit to a thorough background check and a drug test which includes THC
Nice-to-haves
- Experience driving a slider van or box truck professionally
- Bilingual skills
- FedEx/Amazon/UPS/DHL experience
