About the position
WESCAR Logistics Inc. is actively seeking to hire both full-time and part-time package delivery drivers for immediate employment. This position does not require a CDL license, and we offer entry-level training to ensure that all new hires are well-prepared for their roles. If you have experience as a Local Driver, Route Driver, Truck Driver, Courier, Pick Up Driver, or Delivery Driver, especially with companies like UPS, Amazon, FedEx, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, or Lyft, we encourage you to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career with FedEx Delivery through WESCAR Logistics, located in St. Joseph, MO. You can expect to earn between $640 and $1,400 weekly, with the potential to start your new career within days. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle at all times, delivering and picking up packages from various businesses and residences. The routes will vary in the number of stops, but drivers can expect to make up to 150 stops a day. Daily duties include performing vehicle inspections, loading and organizing deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be required to accurately operate a scanner to track the delivery process and ensure the timely disposition of packages. Paid training will be provided, covering delivery procedures, equipment operations, customer service skills, and driver safety. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed, and shifts typically last 8 to 10 hours. We provide step vans and high-rise vans for your use, and uniforms will be provided after 90 days of employment. Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicle safely at all times.
- Deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences, performing up to 150 stops a day.
- Perform daily inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels.
- Load the vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with the manager.
- Accurately operate a scanner and effectively track the delivery process.
- Ensure accurate disposition of package deliveries and pickups, critical to our integrity.
- Consistently deliver the entire route in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must be motivated and a team player.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Pass a background check.
- Have a valid driver's license with a reasonably clean record.
- Have a working cell phone.
- 1 year of job-related delivery or large vehicle driving experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience driving for UPS, Amazon, FedEx, DHL, Wal-Mart, Uber, or Lyft.
