About the position

The FedEx Ground Delivery Driver position involves delivering and picking up packages to and from businesses and residences. The role requires reliable and highly motivated individuals who can operate a vehicle safely while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers are expected to manage a high volume of deliveries daily, ensuring timely and accurate service.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely at all times.
• Deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences.
• Complete 185-215 stops a day, depending on the route.
• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle.
• Organize daily loads for efficient delivery.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with the manager.
• Accurately operate a scanner to track the delivery process.
• Ensure accurate disposition of package delivery and pickup.
• Consistently deliver the entire route in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Preferred experience with Step Van or box truck delivery driving.
• Ability to pass a drug test and ongoing random drug screens.
• Pass a DOT physical test.
• Ability to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs. with a hand truck.
• Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Punctuality and readiness to work each day.
• Ability to climb stairs while lifting or maneuvering packages.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and a 'get it done' attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of truck driving experience (preferred).
• Non-CDL Class C license (preferred).
