About the position

Clarity Innovations is seeking a Federal Civilian Market Lead to join our Growth Team. This position is pivotal in connecting human creativity with emerging technology to design, develop, and deploy software that enhances mission success for Federal Civilian agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for redefining the Government's relationship with technology by promoting the use of DevSecOps and Agile methodologies, as well as modern tech stacks and automation. Our mission is to improve the lives and work of our end users while delivering mission-changing results that contribute to a better and safer world. In this role, you will develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to Federal Civilian agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Veterans Affairs, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies. You will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including prime contracts, subcontracts, and IDIQs, ensuring alignment with Clarity's growth objectives. Your responsibilities will also include leading the capture process for strategic opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, and staying informed about industry trends and market dynamics. As a representative of Clarity Innovations, you will promote brand awareness at industry events and foster new connections. You will provide leadership and mentorship to business development team members and maintain a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain up to 25% billable hours on a contract as a technical Subject Matter Expert when available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for Federal Civilian agencies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prime contracts, subcontracts, and IDIQs.
  • Support and/or lead the capture process for strategic opportunities from identification through proposal submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that address customer needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote brand awareness.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to business development team members and program managers.
  • Maintain up to 25% billable hours on a contract as a technical Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or related roles within the government contracting industry.
  • Proven track record of success in identifying, pursuing, and winning government contracts and task orders.
  • Strong network of contacts within the FedCiv community, including government civilians and industry partners.
  • Deep understanding of the federal acquisition process and contract vehicles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market dynamics and develop account plans.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree and/or minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of success in identifying and winning large-scale ($100M+) government contracts.
  • Domain expertise in one of Clarity's core competencies of Data, Systems, or Cyber.
