About the position

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining a fully effective Quality Control organization for a 3-year JOC contract at the Corpus Christi Army Depot. This role involves ensuring that all construction projects meet quality and reliability expectations as defined by the contract and the Contractor's Quality Control Plan (CQCP). The QCM will oversee project quality, review contractor methods, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall project quality and reviews all trade contractors' means and methods in accordance with project contract documents.
  • Reviews and analyzes submittal data on product specifications, scopes of work, plans, and engineer reports to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Maintains submittal logs onsite and assists the project management team with the RFI process.
  • Ensures testing programs are conducted throughout construction to verify materials and installations meet specifications.
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs the quality control program to ensure continuous production of projects consistent with established standards.
  • Performs random project site audits for all stages in the production process and inspects materials for compliance.
  • Interacts effectively with USACE Quality Control personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., BSCE, BSCM, BSAE) or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of acceptable construction-related experience or 3-6 years as a Quality Control Manager or Alternate.
  • DoD experience and OSHA 30 certification are required.
  • USACE Quality Control Certification is required; experience with RMS 3.0 is preferred.
  • Current certifications for First Aid and CPR; valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multi-year government IDIQ contracts such as JOC/SABER/MATOC is highly desirable.
