About the position

As an Associate in the Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI) group at RSM, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with tax planning and research related to federal credits and incentives, particularly the Research and Development (R&D) credit. This position emphasizes technical expertise and delivering excellent client service while working collaboratively in a team environment. You will engage in multiple projects simultaneously, developing strong relationships with clients and understanding their business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax planning and research related to the Research and Development (R&D) credit and other federal credits and incentives.
• Implement multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources.
• Draft opinion letters and write other technical memoranda.
• Develop an understanding of the client's business.
• Help drive the success of multiple R&D or federal credits engagements.
• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications.

Requirements

• Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Travel to assigned client locations is required, with access to reliable transportation.
