In the context of the Technical Recruiter role, our primary objective is to attract and secure top-tier talent within the technology landscape. Our focus involves recruiting and placing candidates in federal contracts, primarily concentrated within the Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia regions. This experience is a must to be considered for this job. Successful recruiters will possess prior knowledge of federal clearances and have a well-established network of technical connections to be effective in this role. As a Technical Staffing Consultant, you will oversee the staffing requirements for technical roles within the defense and intelligence sector of the federal government. These roles encompass Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Technical Writers, Network Engineers, Analysts, and others. Our services operate within federal programs, necessitating candidates with active DoD clearances, specifically TS/SCI with a polygraph. Candidates must understand federal clearance requirements. Recruiters manage their schedules. However, virtual meetings are conducted during standard business hours, so consultants must be available. We prioritize consultants not concurrently engaged in full-time employment due to conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities

  • Forge trusted partnerships with clients, gaining insights into their hiring needs, corporate mission, benefits structure, and key contacts.
  • Maintain continuous communication with clients to secure essential resources, including system access, job descriptions, salary scales, and proper submission processes.
  • Provide regular client feedback on recruiting progress, challenges, and innovative strategies to enhance response rates.
  • Establish and manage resume databases with meticulous data entry.
  • Post job openings with attention to branding.
  • Source qualified candidates through diverse channels, leveraging tools such as our extensive ATS system, LinkedIn premium access, Clearance Jobs, and Indeed.
  • Utilize advanced Boolean methods.
  • Execute strategic marketing initiatives concerning talent acquisition utilizing platforms like Canva, Mailchimp, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the sourcing process, including phone interviews and other interactions.
  • Adapt comfortably to new technologies and online tools in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Prior knowledge of federal clearances and a well-established network of technical connections.
  • Background in technical recruiting, expertise in niche markets, and a strong customer service orientation within the technology sector.
  • Familiarity with federal clearance structures, preferably for TS/SCI polygraphed candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to complete simple marketing efforts.
