About the position

The Federal Marketing Manager - Communications and Engagement at CDM Smith is a senior role responsible for leading communication and engagement activities within the Federal Services Unit (FSU). This position involves developing strategies and content to promote services and projects to U.S. Government clients and industry partners. The role requires collaboration with sales and marketing teams to enhance brand awareness and support the growth of CDM Smith's federal business through various communication channels and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with FSU management, sales team, and marketing colleagues to develop short-term and long-term strategies for communications and engagement programs.
  • Utilize various platforms for client outreach, webinars, internal and external communications, website content, social media, print and electronic media, and conferences.
  • Consult with FSU sales management to discuss changes in strategy and new issues impacting marketing and communications programs.
  • Recommend new approaches and programs in response to industry changes.
  • Oversee the implementation of communications and engagement campaigns and programs.
  • Maintain FSU's calendar of conferences and develop annual budgets for conference-related spending.
  • Attend key conferences to support communication of services and capabilities.
  • Determine key performance metrics to measure success and establish change management communications techniques.
  • Review all campaigns and communications programs to find synergies and avoid overlap.
  • Track the long-term impact of programs through sales, pipeline, leads, and customer perception measures.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned staff, providing feedback on performance appraisals and overseeing development and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 12 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
