About the position

The Federal Marketing Manager - Proposals and Sales Development at CDM Smith is responsible for leading the business development process to secure U.S. government contracts. This role involves supervising a nationwide team of marketing professionals, coordinating workloads, and ensuring quality control across proposal centers. The manager will also develop marketing strategies, oversee proposal management, and drive continuous improvement in business analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of CDM Smith's business development process to win U.S. government contracts.
• Supervise a nationwide team of marketing professionals supporting client services leaders.
• Coordinate workloads to maximize staff skillsets and effectiveness.
• Identify training needs and ensure equitable training opportunities for staff.
• Ensure consistency and quality control across the unit's proposal centers.
• Define best practices to deliver superior marketing and communications products.
• Develop and monitor annual marketing and sales plans and business development budgets.
• Serve as proposal manager for highest-priority opportunities.
• Manage the schedule of proposals and other marketing deliverables.
• Mentor assigned staff to foster their long-term development.
• Lead development and delivery of FSU sales-related training courses.
• Track, monitor, and analyze the unit's business development performance statistics.
• Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer on firmwide marketing/sales tools and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 12 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
