About the position

The Federal Project Administrator at HDR plays a crucial role in providing high-level administrative support to technical staff and project managers. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, assisting in planning and monitoring various project aspects while ensuring effective collaboration across teams. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive project support to a dynamic team of cross-sector professionals.
  • Establish and maintain projects within Newforma for effective document control and tracking.
  • Track various project elements, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction-related paperwork.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic accounting concepts, including budgeting and spending projections.
  • Analyze accounting information and develop trend analyses for effective presentation.
  • Showcase expertise in data collection, management, and analysis using spreadsheet-based programs.
  • Assist in managing, maintaining, and distributing project schedules.
  • Support Project Managers in the local Quality Program by documenting Management and QC Reviews.
  • Assist with project guides, reviews, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Compose, type, format, proofread, edit, and organize various project-related documents.
  • Order and monitor insurance certificates and assist in developing contracts and subcontracts.
  • Create and maintain paper and electronic files, coordinate meetings, and assist with presentations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in the employee-owned culture.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator/Construction Administrator.
  • Experience with Federal projects is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in using Newforma, Procore, Revu Bluebeam, SpecsIntact, Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong preference for experience with scheduling software Primavera P6 Project Scheduling.
  • Solid grasp of basic Accounting Principles.
