About The Position

The Federal Protective Service Armed Security Officer at Allied Universal is responsible for safeguarding sensitive information and personnel. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
• Prior military experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
