About the position

The Technical Operations Strategy & Evolution Manager at the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies that enhance the operational capabilities of the Technical Operations team. This role focuses on fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical execution. The manager will oversee metrics and knowledge management practices, drive improvements in operational efficiencies, and mentor a team of technical professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of near and long-term strategies for FRFS Technical Operations.
  • Produce insightful reports for senior executives (CIO+).
  • Create a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and diverse perspectives.
  • Mentor a team of technical professionals, promoting growth and continuous learning.
  • Refine Technical Operations communications, metrics, and knowledge management strategies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to align business objectives with technical execution.
  • Analyze and develop recommendations for operational improvements in collaboration with other FRFS Operations teams.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in a technical or technical operations role.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proven track record in a technical lead role or management of high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
  • Experience with data analysis and executive report preparation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to advocate for sound technical solutions in a collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agile methodologies and development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and Knowledge Management capabilities.
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms and AI Ops.
